About Silent Call Transmitters and Receivers: The Silent Call wireless alerting system allows a deaf, hard of hearing, or any user to be discreetly alerted to the activation of any one of a number of common household devices such as a doorbell, telephone ringer, smoke detector, sound monitor, door or window activity, etc.

A typical system consists of one or more transmitters and one or more receivers. There is no limit to the number of receivers and/or transmitters in a system.

When a transmitter activates, it sends a digitally coded signal to any receivers within range. This signal contains a user selected unique address and a function code such as Fire, Sound, Door, Telephone, etc. Any receiver within range that is set to the same address as the transmitter will activate when it receives the signal. Most Silent Call receivers will activate and indicate which function activated them.

These deaf assistive devices offer convenience. They allow you to roam throughout the house and yard. The maximum distance between the transmitter and Sidekick receiver for the new 418 MHz Signature Series is 2000 feet!

The Signature Series Direct Wired Doorbell Transmitter is attached to your existing doorbell wiring and is activated by the same current that operates the doorbell chime. This Signature Series Fire Alarm Transmitter is designed to be wired into a home or building fire alarm system, using either a dry contact relay -- operated by 2 AA batteries, or by supplying 12-24 volts from the fire panel. When the fire panel is activated, the transmitter sends a wireless signal to any Signature Series receiver up to 2000 feet away.   Ideal for deaf notification of fires by signaling any alert from up to 3 smoke or fire transmitters.  Also includes low battery indicator and notifies you of a malfunction or blocked path. 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
